Shanghai International Design Week (CHSIDW), hosted by CCPIT Commercial Sub-council (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) and undertaken by the Organizing Committee of Shanghai International Design Week (CHSIDW), is a major international event held in Shanghai annually to enhance the city’s status as a design capital. The general theme of this event is "Creativity for a Better Life", in order to drive the development of China's economy with creative design. It consists of five major sections: Annual Conference of China Creative Design Driving Economic Quality Development, China Designer's Carnival, National Touring Activities, Network-wide Publicity Coverage and Online Digital Marketing. Areas covered include industrial design, fashion design, digital design, branding design, and architectural and decorative arts design.

Shanghai International Design Week (CHSIDW) has been successfully held for five years, becoming one of the most influential design week events in China, leading the high-quality development of China's design industry, and helping designers in various fields and upstream and downstream enterprises to improve their brands. As the year 2023 is about to become history, Shanghai International Design Week has started a brand new strategic layout, and it will take Shanghai, the Magic City, as the base to create the "Architecture and Decorative Arts Design Exhibition" and "Design Driven Supply Chain Exhibition" (hereinafter referred to as the twin exhibitions), which are committed to becoming an important window for China to display contemporary architectural and decorative arts and culture to the world, and to become a platform for the world's outstanding architects, artists and creative designers to display their multi-dimensional creativity. China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), also known as China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), is a national trade promotion organization. It is an important bridge for economic and trade exchanges and cooperation from home and abroad, and an important force for promoting the development of an open economy and serving the overall situation of foreign affairs.

CCPIT Commercial Sub-council, also known as CCOIC Commercial Chamber of Commerce, which is one of the 23 industrial sub-councils of CCPIT, mainly focuses on service industry and the field of consumer goods. The Commercial Sub-Council belongs to the State Council of China.

The seven departments of CCPIT Commercial Sub-council include: General Administration Office, Finance Department, Department of Membership Affairs, Department of Exhibition, Department of Industry Affairs, Department of Standardization and Department of Education and Training.
